Corrie’s Life
Corrie ten Boom lived a life of compassion, selflessness and a willingness to stand against injustice to protect the most vulnerable people of her time. Her example inspired us to honor her name as part of our mission.
During World War II, Corrie and her family risked their lives to provide safety and refuge to Jews and to ultimately help them escape. Through their compassion and courage, she and her family saved nearly 800 lives.
After World War II, Corrie opened a home of restoration for concentration camp survivors to recover. She understood their need for a safe place to recover from the trauma they endured.
Corrie's House shares in her mission to fight against the dehumanization and injustice inflicted upon innocent people. We share in her mission to provide access to protection from harm and to be given the opportunity to live a life free from injustice.
Corrie wrote a best-selling book, The Hiding Place, detailing her experience during WWII.
