Volunteers Are The Heart of Our Program
On our trek to develop a residential program to provide transformative care for youth who’ve survived sex trafficking, we are immensely grateful for the support and dedication of our volunteers who selflessly give of their time and talents to support our mission. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping our residential program curriculum, organizing educational and fundraising events, capturing precious moments, providing expertise on the development of our direct care services, and serving on our board of directors.
From the inception of our program, volunteers have been the backbone of our path to success. They’ve poured their hearts and souls into offering their expertise to write our policies, procedures, and program elements that will ensure that every aspect of our program is trauma-informed, victim-centered, strengths based, and culturally responsive.
In addition to their work behind the scenes, our volunteers have played a vital role in our fundraising efforts, generously offering their time and expertise to help organize galas, secure auction items, and host educational gatherings that not only raise much-needed funds but also build awareness to help our community combat sexual exploitation. Their passion for this mission shines through in every event they help to execute.
Furthermore, a long list of residential care experts have given countless hours of their time to provide invaluable guidance and support. Their expertise in trauma-informed care has been invaluable as we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for our residents. Their dedication to our mission is a testament to the power of compassion and empathy in healing.
As we move closer toward opening our program, volunteer partners will continue to grow in importance and impact. We will soon have our house, and we’re excited for the myriad of opportunities for volunteers to get directly involved in quipping and beautifying the home. Once our home opens its doors, there will be even more opportunities for volunteers to pour into the lives of our participants from mentoring, tutoring, organizing recreational activities, perhaps teaching guitar lessons, or leading an art/craft project. There will be countless ways for volunteers to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our participants.
As we continue to build a community of compassion and support, we are profoundly grateful for the generosity and dedication of our volunteers. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth, offering them hope, healing, and a pathway to a brighter future.
With Gratitude,
Renée
