Corrie’s House Earns Safe House Project Certification

Corrie's House Earns Nationally Recognized Certification Through Safe House Project

Corrie’s House is pleased to announce our certification from Safe House Project, becoming the first and only residential program in Minnesota serving survivors of human trafficking to receive this national distinction.

This certification recognizes Corrie’s House’s commitment to providing high-quality, survivor-centered care and reflects the rigorous standards we uphold in creating a safe, supportive environment where young survivors can heal, grow, and build toward a hopeful future.

While this certification is entirely voluntary, we believed it was important to benchmark our program against nationally recognized standards and to invite an independent review as part of our ongoing commitment to excellence.

Safe House Project is a nationally recognized leader dedicated to improving care for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Through data-driven research, survivor leadership, collaboration with experts across the country, and the development of evidence-informed best practices, Safe House Project is helping establish national standards that strengthen residential programs and improve outcomes for survivors.

Its certification process is a rigorous, comprehensive review designed to recognize programs that demonstrate excellence in trauma-informed, survivor-centered care while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The review includes organizational leadership, governance, policies, staff training, participant services, quality improvement, and other key elements that contribute to safe, effective, sustainable, survivor-centered care.

At Corrie's House, we believe every young person deserves the highest standard of care. While we are honored to receive this validation of our program, we view it as a commitment to continuous learning and improvement to implement proven practices that help youth heal, build resilience, and thrive.

We are deeply grateful to Safe House Project for its leadership in advancing research, sharing best practices, and bringing organizations together around a shared vision of excellence in survivor care. We are honored to stand alongside certified programs across the country and especially proud to be leading this work here in Minnesota.

Most importantly, this recognition belongs to our dedicated team, whose compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment make Corrie's House a place where young people can find safety, healing, hope, and opportunity every day.

Thank you to our staff, Board of Directors, community partners, donors, and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we remain committed to providing exceptional, evidence-informed care for every youth who walks through our doors.
