Join us for a meaningful evening of Women Inspiring Leadership & Learning, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Edina. Our Executive Director, Renée Boheme, will be sharing her powerful vision—that every victim and survivor of sexual exploitation deserves the opportunity to access transformative care for recovery and healing.

As part of the event, participants will have the opportunity to help assemble shower caddies filled with personal care items and other essential supplies for Corrie’s House. These caddies will help create a nurturing and welcoming environment for the young participants in their journey to healing.

To assist in covering some of the costs for these much-needed supplies, the event fee has been increased by $10, making it $25 total. Your support in attending this event and contributing to the cause will make a significant impact in helping Corrie’s House continue its mission. Thank you for being part of this important effort!

Join Us for an In-Person Event
Hosted at Woodbury Lutheran Church

Human trafficking and the exploitation of youth are not distant issues—they are happening right here, in our own community. Corrie's House, in partnership with C.A.S.T. (Communities Against Sexual Trafficking), invites you to join us for "Hidden Truths: Exposing Human Trafficking and Exploitation of Youth in Our Backyard." This event brings together expert panelists to shed light on the realities of trafficking in the Twin Cities area and what we can do to prevent it.

What to Expect:

This educational event will feature insights from a panel of professionals who are deeply involved in combatting trafficking and exploitation in our community. The evening will cover:

  • What human trafficking and exploitation look like in our local area.

  • Who is most at risk and how traffickers target vulnerable youth.

  • Proactive strategies to prevent exploitation in schools, homes, and communities.

  • Practical steps parents and community members can take to protect youth.

  • Resources available to help those affected by exploitation.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Ashley Moore, Executive Director of C.A.S.T., with a special introduction by Renee Boehme, Executive Director of Corrie's House.

Why Attend?

Trafficking and exploitation are often thought of as issues that happen "somewhere else"—but the truth is, they are happening right here in our own backyard. This event will challenge misconceptions and provide critical information on how we can all work together to protect vulnerable youth in our community.

You will leave with a deeper understanding of the issue, what resources are available, and how you can play a role in prevention and recovery efforts.

Key Topics to Be Addressed:

  1. Is trafficking happening locally? Learn about the realities in the Twin Cities area.

  2. Who is at risk? Understand the age groups, demographics, and tactics used by traffickers.

  3. What can parents do? Discover what you can do to protect your children and where to find help.

  4. How can the community help? Learn about practical steps that community members can take to become part of the solution.

  5. What resources are available? Find out how to prevent exploitation and support survivors.
