Through The Power of Community, We Move Mountains

At Corrie's House, we believe in the tremendous power of a community coming together for a purpose. We can think of no greater purpose than to give our most vulnerable and exploited youth a path to freedom by providing the Twin Cities’ first long term residential program for young victims/survivors of sexual exploitation. This most recent leg of our race to make this possible has been nothing short of monumental. Our bold goal to acquire a home in 2024 has become a reality, and it was only made possible by the collective support and generosity of our community. Together, we are moving mountains, and we are tremendously grateful.

Community Organizations Supporting Our New Home

Our new home, located in Washington County, will house up to 6 victims/survivors, ages 12-17.  Participants will live in the home long term as they learn to heal and learn to dream of a renewed future. They’ll receive comprehensive services within the home that include individual and group therapy, case management, life skills and healthy relationship building, educational advancement, and job skills development. These comprehensive services will support and equip survivors toward a renewed life free from exploitation. Acquiring and creating a supportive space would not be possible without the incredible support from philanthropic and caring community leaders. We want to thank:

  • Custom One Homes: This very generous and philanthropic team blew us away when they offered their expertise, time and materials to fully complete the necessary renovations needed to add a 6th bedroom and create private meeting spaces for a therapy room, staff office, and education room. These functional spaces will allow us to provide the comprehensive care and services that enable restoration and healing.

  • Interior Impressions: This talented design team offered their valuable time to provide their expertise in helping us create a warm and inviting interior that ensures that our participants will live in a home that is welcoming, soothing, and inspiring, where healing can truly begin.

  • Lisa and Kathy Mador Realty: This tireless duo worked for more than a year to help us find the perfect home for Corrie's House. They then surprised us at our closing with a generous check for $5,000.

  • Lake Elmo Bank: This locally owned bank showed their love of community by supporting us with financial lending that enabled us to secure our house. They’ve been wonderful partners to Corrie’ House!

  • To all of these wonderful supporters, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Your contributions are the foundation upon which Corrie's House is built.

  • Greg Tietz Painting: Greg has generously offered up his services to help us refresh and revivve the space with paint. We can’t wait to see the finished result!

The Power of Coming Together

The journey to opening our doors has been filled with countless moments of collaboration, generosity, and community spirit. It is this collective effort that has turned our dream into reality. Each act of kindness, whether big or small, has played a crucial role in bringing us to this point.

But our journey doesn't end here. We hope that more individuals, businesses, and organizations will join us in our mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for minors who have experienced unimaginable hardships.
